Mio meets Junko Takei from the 504th Joint Fighter Wing to gather information on a new type of Neuroi. Meanwhile, Yoshika, Lynette, and Perrine, having become out of shape during six months of inactivity, are sent to train with Anna Ferrara. Anna teaches them the fundamentals, specifically how to ride brooms. The girls initially struggle with the lessons but eventually begin to master the skill. During their training session, a Neuroi ship approaches Anna's home, posing a direct threat. The three girls cooperate to defeat the enemy aircraft, successfully protecting Anna's residence and demonstrating their improved capabilities.
