The Witches acquire a prototype Jet Striker from Karlsland. Following a dispute, Barkhorn tests the device while Lucchini advises Charlotte against using it. Barkhorn enjoys the power and beats Charlotte in tests, but the unit drains her magic, causing her to faint mid-flight. Minna bans usage and confines Barkhorn, who ignores the order to chase a fast Neuroi. She defeats the enemy, but the Striker malfunctions and she faints again. Charlotte pushes her own unit to the limit to rescue Barkhorn, destroying the prototype. Later, Ursula Hartmann, Erica's twin sister, arrives with a shipment of potatoes as an apology for the defective equipment.
