With reinforcements far away, Mio and the ship's air forces battle a Neuroi vessel. Yoshika, frustrated by her inability to help, decides to wear a Striker Unit to enable flight and support Mio. Despite her hesitation regarding firearms, she contributes sufficiently to allow the arriving reinforcements to defeat the enemy. After confirming that her father remains dead, Yoshika resolves to join the Strike Witches so she can assist others.
