Gertrud Barkhorn, a Luftwaffe ace, becomes distracted by the condition of her severely injured younger sister, Christiane Barkhorn, leading to apathy toward Yoshika, who resembles her. Yoshika faces criticism from Perrine H. Clostermann due to jealousy regarding her closeness with Mio. When a Neuroi threatens Barkhorn’s home country, she engages the enemy alone but is rescued from death by Yoshika. Yoshika explains the importance of protecting as many people as possible. Following the defeat of the Neuroi, Barkhorn is reprimanded by Minna for her reckless behavior. She subsequently decides to visit Chris.
