With the new school year beginning, Tamako and Kanna Makino share a class with badminton player Shiori Asagiri. Dera encounters Shiori and develops feelings for her, later getting lost before she guides him to Tamako’s home. Tamako attempts to befriend Shiori, who ends up staying for dinner and bathing due to family circumstances. The following day, Shiori struggles with shyness while trying to thank Tamako. After her homeroom teacher conducts a home visit, Tamako takes Shiori to a coffee shop, allowing her to express gratitude. As they solidify their friendship, Shiori thanks Dera for his help but declines his romantic proposal. Tamako later learns from Midori about the courage required to communicate feelings honestly.
