Ran encounters Midori during her morning run and extends an invitation to the town's summer festival. Midori declines, stating she will not attend unless Rin is present. Meanwhile, Ran accompanies Rui to purchase a new kimono. During this outing, Ran attempts to contact Midori multiple times to persuade her to join later, but Midori remains unavailable throughout the day. Upon returning home, Midori listens to Ran’s humorous voice messages. Later, the two unexpectedly reunite at the festival while the fireworks are being displayed.
