Ran, Rui, and Midori assist Reika after her brother disappears, leading them to his last known location. They encounter the legend of Three Caches, a settlement ruled by the fierce Three Eyes Clan. Despite a note bearing the name of a local elder, Ran and Midori fail to extract information about the missing boy from him. That night, Reika is abducted by the elder's associates. During the chaos, Ran is rendered unconscious with chloroform and taken away, leaving the group in a perilous situation within the hostile village.
