Ep. 23: Accelerator joins GROUP to neutralize Skill-Outs after Prewar events
Index restores Hyouka, while Touma comforts her regarding the recent chaos. Acqua, Vento, and their forces retreat from Academy City, leaving Accelerator captured by security. During a sukiyaki dinner, Touma and Tsuchimikado discuss an impending war. The Board of Directors punishes Accelerator by assigning him to GROUP, a special team including Tsuchimikado, Awaki, and Etzali, who disguised himself as Mitsuki Unabara. Accelerator’s power time limit is increased for their first mission: neutralizing the Skill-Outs gang led by Ritoku Komaba. The Level 0 espers exploit the security vacuum created by Anti-Skills defending the outskirts against potential Catholic Church attacks. Accelerator and Awaki launch an assault on the gang’s territory, where Awaki encounters Ritoku.
