Mari arrives at her home to find it destroyed. Mirai and Yuuki discover residents are sheltered at a nearby elementary school. There, they encounter two unidentified bodies that Mari believes are her mother and daughter, leading her to mourn their deaths. Yuuki, however, suspects they are still alive. He assists Mari in searching for her daughter at a different school. After reuniting with her child, Mari locates her mother at a local hospital. Mirai and Yuuki depart to continue searching for their own parents. Before leaving, Mirai gives Mari a note thanking her for her help and expressing hope that they will meet again. Mari is confused and surprised by this message, wondering if she and Yuuki will reunite.
