Six months after the school festival, Shizuku’s father’s business collapses for the sixth time. During a study session with Haru, Sasayan, and Asako, Shizuku realizes she has neglected considering her romantic connection with Haru. Inspired by a story about Shizuku’s lack of goldfish, Haru attempts to catch crayfish for her at the river. Shizuku meets Kenji at the library, where he clarifies her priorities. Meanwhile, Asako endures verbal abuse from other girls at the bakery until Mitsuyoshi intervenes, sparking her admiration for him. The group reunites at the river, and Haru later confronts Kenji about his feelings for Shizuku after Kenji returns her pencil. The episode concludes by revealing that Asako gained admission to the school through unconventional methods.
