Arriving in a world devoid of people or structures, the group discovers a vast lake where Mokona detects a potent energy. Syaoran dives in to investigate, and upon surfacing, Sakura experiences a vivid memory while holding him. While Syaoran submerges again, Sakura encounters a mysterious creature from the water that questions her until she faints. In her unconscious state, she recalls their first meeting, prompting Syaoran to remember attending her birthday party. He reflects on how Sakura aligned their birthdays after Fujitaka became his father. Upon waking, Syaoran takes Sakura to a miniature city at the lake's bottom, evoking memories of white birds from a castle. Mokona confirms the absence of feathers in this realm, and the group departs for their next destination.
