Kurogane and Fai defeat an Oni, but Kurogane loses his sword and Fai injures his leg. Meanwhile, Sakura and Syaoran encounter Ryū-ō and Sōma. After eating at the Cat's Eye, a stranger who appears to know Syaoran arrives with an Oni. Syaoran discovers he cannot defeat an Oni above a certain level without a weapon. Kurogane realizes that while the same people exist in different worlds, their lifestyles and actions differ. Consequently, Syaoran asks Kurogane to teach him swordsmanship.
