Ep. 7: Vanitas and Jeanne confront love while Noé and Dominique form a new bond through blood

At Lord Ruthven’s residence, Noé and Vanitas enjoy tarte Tatin with friends Dominique, Luca, and Jeanne. Luca remains upset over Vanitas’s kiss with Jeanne, who Vanitas claims he loves, evidenced by a flower-shaped bite mark on his neck. Jeanne drags Vanitas out the window to address his words, leading her to admit she is a curse-bearer managing bloodlust with medication. Vanitas agrees to keep her secret if she drinks only his blood and addresses him by name. Upon their return, Dominique bites Noé’s neck, and he sucks blood from her hand, establishing a bond. Later, Noé asks Vanitas about love, but Vanitas admits he does not truly understand it.
