Oscar and Rosalie attend court to introduce her to the Queen, where Rosalie instantly recognizes Polignac. Oscar prevents Rosalie from stabbing Polignac due to witnesses and threatens him to hide her background. The trio then searches for Rosalie's birth mother. Polignac attempts to kill Oscar by rigging a chandelier, but Andre saves him. Polignac subsequently hires assassins, including Rosalie's brother, to kill Oscar at night. Oscar is injured protecting Rosalie, but Fersen arrives just before the final blow.
