Ep. 27: Andre rescues Oscar from Knight Bernard who seeks ransom for stolen rifles
Aired on April 16, 1980

After the Knight steals 200 rifles, Oscar investigates Liberalists at Orleans' salon. The Knight takes Oscar hostage to blackmail General Jarjeyes for firearms. Andre removes his bandages, dons his Knight costume, and rides to Royale to steal Oscar's cell keys. He captures and unmasks the Knight, revealing him as Bernard, but loses his left eye permanently. Oscar nearly blinds Bernard in retaliation, but Andre persuades her to spare him for his aid to commoners. Bernard explains he uses Orleans' Liberalist status merely as a hideout with no loyalty to him. Oscar secures 1000 livres for the stolen guns and takes Bernard to hide and heal at Rosalie's house.
