Ep. 8: Askeladd returns to Lord Gorm while Thorfinn loses a rematch in 1013

Askeladd and his crew bring their plunder back to the village of the greedy feudal lord Gorm on the Jutland Peninsula. Thorfinn challenges Askeladd to a rematch but is defeated after being provoked into a reckless, angry attack. Meanwhile, in the year 1013, the Danish King Sweyn initiates an invasion of northern England. Danish troops and Viking mercenaries, including Askeladd, land near Gainborough. Their advance stops at the heavily fortified merchant city of London.
