Ep. 11: Kamui explains his past to Fuuma while Tokiko sacrifices herself for a new sword.
Kotori shares a nightmare about Kamui and Fuuma fighting, prompting Fuuma to ask Kamui why he left Tokyo six years ago. Kamui reveals that after Saya died, his mother Touru took him to Okinawa, where he developed psychic powers. Touru taught him to use these abilities to protect loved ones, leading Kamui to wish to safeguard Kotori and Fuuma. Feeling isolated, Kamui watched Touru incinerate herself in a barrier, instructing him to return to Tokyo. Moved by this history, Fuuma secures a promise from Kamui to remain with them despite the risks. Subsequently, Kamui defeats shikigami attacking Tokiko at the temple. Tokiko declares she will die to birth another sacred sword in Touru’s place, causing her body to explode and leave the new blade coated in blood.
