Superintendent Yakushiji and Assistant Inspector Izumida travel to Shiba with the Type 10, which is controlled by Marianne and Lucienne. After being surrounded, a Type 81 SAM destroys Tokyo Tower, cutting the link to the JGSDF soldiers under mind control. Izumida shields Monami from falling debris during the chaos. Yakushiji eliminates Isurugi Ruriko using a pre-prepared formula but warns that another clone will replace the failed Queen of Shiba. As the year concludes, Yakushiji holds a press conference. To the dismay and terror of everyone present, she announces her decision to continue her law enforcement career with renewed passion and conviction.
