Ep. 28: Hanazono and Sudoh Compete for Yawara's Affection Amidst Judo Club Drama
Aired on May 28, 1990

28
Hanazono struggles to confess his secret love for Yawara, while Sudoh persistently pesters her for dates. Jigoro attempts to stop these outings but fails due to his distraction by food. Yawara goes on a double date with both boys at an amusement park and announces her decision to quit judo. Hanazono is devastated and leaves, whereas Sudoh supports her choice. Later, Sudoh faces former delinquent friends who threaten violence against the judo club. To protect his teammates, Sudoh submits a retirement letter. The delinquents arrive anyway, but Hanazono swallows the letter to invalidate it. Jigoro intervenes, using a judo throw and accidentally spilled adult videos to persuade the attackers to leave.
