Ep. 85: Yawara's Struggle and Fujiko's Dramatic Comeback Victory

Yawara faces a difficult match against French judoka Deneuve, losing a waza ari due to mental unpreparedness and lacking speed. She barely secures a victory without an ippon, marking her first such win. Meanwhile, Fujiko struggles against Martinez, falling backward in fear upon first contact and drawing jeers from the crowd. Martinez dominates the bout, accumulating three yukos, three kokas, one waza ari, and one shido against Fujiko. Even Jigoro appears disheartened, eating peanuts with shells and stating he is finished with Fujiko. Khrushchev, also known as Teleshikova-lite, mocks Yawara’s performance. Hanazono is shocked to learn Fujiko entered the free weight contest. However, spurred by Yawara’s encouragement, Fujiko executes an un deux trois attack to score an ippon in the final twenty seconds, securing a comeback victory.
