Yawara faces a difficult match against French judoka Deneuve, losing a waza ari due to mental unpreparedness and lacking speed. She barely secures a victory without an ippon, marking her first such win. Meanwhile, Fujiko struggles against Martinez, falling backward in fear upon first contact and drawing jeers from the crowd.
