Genkai confronts the Younger Toguro, challenging his tendency to blame himself for his own wrongdoings. Additionally, Genkai is resurrected in the Living World, receiving this status as the prize for winning the tournament.

Using his psychic abilities, Kido paralyzes Yusuke by stepping on his shadow, and they kidnap him in the process. Kido, Kaito, and Yanagisawa leave a message for Kazuma Kuwabara and Botan, who decide to rescue Yusuke.
