During an excursion on the repaired Zegapain Caladrius, Shima and Shizuno are away from the main vessel. Meanwhile, Minato and the Oceanus crew face a threat from Sin, who has successfully infiltrated the ship. Sin’s objective is to interrogate the Cerebrants regarding their motivations for fighting the Gards-orm. After receiving an answer from Ryoko that satisfies him, Sin proceeds to restore Ryoko's damaged data.
