Ningyo no Kubi

A quiet girl named Maki feels overshadowed after her senior moves on to her friend Rumi. Haunted by jealousy, Maki experiences a strange dream where a severed head of a mermaid urges her to consume it in order to gain beauty. After heeding the mermaid's words, Maki is thrust into an unsettling future. The collection also features additional stories from the mermaid series, including "Siren" and "The Sea Where Mermaids Live," as well as "The Flower's Name," which explores breaking free from past burdens, and "The Dream Continues," which portrays the consequences of conflicting emotions.
