Ougon no Koku

A fraud pretending to be an alchemist meets the real one, who has fled the castle where he was obligated to endlessly produce gold. Mistaking the con artist for a genuine practitioner, the real alchemist is delighted to find a companion. The con artist, Argo, recalls his past with his deceased sister, whose loss was due to poverty. The alchemist's escape and his question about whether having money brings happiness disturb Argo deeply. Their meeting raises questions about the true value of wealth and the meaning of their connection.
