A group of high school students travels by bus during a four-night, five-day trip to Kyoto and Nara. When the bus guide starts her talk on Kiyomizu-dera, a boy named Takeuchi recites every word of it before she can finish. The reason is that he is stuck repeating the second day of the trip over and over, and none of the approaches he has tried so far have broken the pattern.
