Trace

Monsters called "Troubles" began appearing and attacking people without discrimination, sometimes resembling humans and other times appearing as grotesque creatures. At the same time, individuals known as "Traces" emerged—humans with extraordinary abilities. Though they frequently battle Troubles, many people view them with fear. Kamiyama Yu is a Trace whose powers frightened his parents, leading them to abandon him. He grew up isolated and indifferent, using the fight against Troubles as a way to train. After being defeated and nearly killed, Yu was rescued by a girl named Akane and her father. He concealed his identity as a Trace, allowing them to believe he was a normal orphan. For the first time, Yu is living with people who care for him, seeing him as human rather than a threat. The question remains whether he can protect them while keeping his true nature hidden.
