A young judo athlete is trained by her grandfather, who envisions her as a future Olympic champion for Japan. However, she dreams of a more ordinary life, wanting to complete high school and experience typical teenage pursuits. Balancing her sporting ambitions with personal desires proves challenging, as the demands of elite competition conflict with her wish to live a normal life. The story explores her struggle to decide between following her grandfather's expectations and pursuing her own aspirations. The series received the 35th Shogakukan Manga Award for general manga in 1990.
