Ezaki Yuuichi, confined to a hospital after contracting hepatitis A, often escapes despite the consequences, frequently facing reprimands from his nurse. While at the hospital, he meets Akiba Rika, a girl his age with striking beauty but a difficult personality—selfish, moody, and domineering. Despite her flaws, Yuuichi is drawn to her, and as they spend time together, they grow closer, experiencing the typical ups and downs of a young relationship.
