Although Sara is sent shopping daily by Molly and James, Molly criticizes her about cleaning the students' rooms. Everyone is rushing to class when Sara and Becky go upstairs; Lottie misplaces her book, which annoys Lavinia. Sara is unable to intercede with the arrival of the angry Headmistress, who tells her to stay away from the students. Lottie gets more confused thanks to Jessie and Gertrude, deliberately destroys her artwork and has a nightmare that night.
