Just then, Praying Mantis Joe appears, having remembered his strength of heart. Ultimately, the bodyguard is taken down and Joe wins. Doronma invites Zatch and Ponygon to his house. He claims his job is handing out presents to poor people, and asks Ponygon and Zatch to help him. They head out into the city late at night with Doronma. But Doronma breaks into all of the jewelry stores in instead. It seems Doronma is a famous thief. Doronma leads Zatch and Ponygon to break into a high-security mansion. However, Ponygon and Zatch end up only causing trouble for Doronma. In the end, the police surround them! It turns out that the bear mauled Jeff's parents to death (or sent them to the hospital in the English dub) and that's the reason why they can't leave this place; not without revenge. Brago tracks down the bear and kills it. This however upsets the boy who wanted to kill it himself... Later, some bad guys come with a bulldozer threatening to bulldoze their home. At first, the boy is crying. Then, the boy realizes that crying won't do anything and tries to fight the bad guys. Of course, he's no match for the two adults who kick him around when Brago, who was watching at the sidelines, comes and smashes the bulldozer; telling the fraudulent real-estate agents to buzz off. That wasn't the only plan though because the bad guy's Plan B is to blow up a mountain, causing an avalanche that could smother the property. But Sherry notices a new spell, Dioga Gurabidon, and uses it to stop the avalanche. They all say their goodbyes and the episode ends with a short skit with Kiyo, Zatch, Suzy, and Naomi. The attempt failed although she injure both Zatch and Kiyo on the cheeks, Kiyo then kicked them out of the room. Meanwhile, Zatch, Tia, and Ponygon decide to train for the tougher Mamodo battles ahead. Elsewhere, a strange man and his Mamodo Kido are on a plane heading to Japan to meet with Zatch and Tia. At night time, a mysterious Mamodo steals the stone tablet from Kiyo's room and at the same time in England, the stone piece Kiyo's father is studying is also stolen. The stone tablet has disappeared and, without it, Kiyo and Zatch wonder how they will ever get strong enough to become king. To do so, they must uncover the mysteries of the spell book. Just then, a small puppet-like mamodo named Kido and his partner Doctor Riddles appear. They challenge Kiyo to a contest against a group of super-powered creatures called The Majestic 12. But, it turns out that the Professor only uses the group to set up a riddle, which Kiyo guesses the correctly. Surprisingly, the 12 depart. The following day, Doctor Riddles comes again to challenge the two to a battle. Riddles states that he will teach Kiyo the secrets of the spell book if Zatch and Kiyo can beat him. However, once the battle begins, Zatch and Kiyo find themselves continually routed by Kido's potent powers. The Doctor gives Kiyo some hints in the guise of a series of riddles. Kiyo comes to realize that the book does not give birth to the power of the mamodo, but the power lies within the mamodo all along. As Zatch starts to understand, the sixth spell appears in his book. Zatch hides under one of Kido's rocket launchers to get close enough, and is able to use his increased strength to throw Kido far, far away. Dr. Riddles is defeated. Realizing that Milordo-Z is manipulating the hearts and minds of these teams, Kiyo and Zatch launch an attack, but Milordo-Z uses the other mamodo as a shield to protect himself. Kiyo gets the melon smoothies for winning the Handball Toss, the second round. Iwashima gets the steak for the 3rd round, and Kane gets the strawberry upside-down cake for winning the 4th round, but not before breaking his back during the back-strength test. Meanwhile, a mamodo named Penny and a man named Uri are walking the streets when they smelled the cake. They destroy the delivery truck with one spell. Kane, after hearing that the cake has been eaten, is very depressed. Kiyo can't say anything at this point. Penny tells the story of how she and Zatch met. After that, she sees Zatch and he asks who she is. Penny says it's his beloved and asks if he remembers her face. But Zatch lost his memories and he heads to the school. Penny becomes enraged and decides to burn his book no matter what. She then starts chasing after Zatch. At school, Zatch gets yelled at by Kiyo for coming to school, but not before Penny breaks through the doors. Kiyo, after learning she's a mamodo, decides to flee along with Zatch. That's when Penny resumes chasing after Zatch. Kiyo and Zatch make it out of there and end up in an empty pool along with the other team. Kiyo asks Penny why she hates Zatch so much, which she answers that Zatch doesn't remember her at all. The two teams eventually fight after Zatch says he doesn't know who she is. Kiyo uses "Rauzaruk" in order for Zatch to get close enough to Penny to use "Zakeruga", but failed on the attempt. This makes him realizes no spells can be used while "Rauzaruk" is in effect. Penny uses "So Giaku" which summons a water dragon, which led to Zatch using "Bao Zakeruga" and the two dragon fight ensues. Zatch's dragon won but right at that moment, a frog-looking Mamodo named Byonko appears, revealing that he is recruiting Mamodos for a plan to wipe out the remaining Mamodos. Byonko makes and attempt to cast a spell to counter but realised it's Bookkeeper is still at the dentist, the enemies then makes their escape. Penny meets Milordo-Z, who reveals that they have been collecting many stone tablets that is containing the Mamodos from the previous battle a thousand years ago. Milordo-Z reveals that a special kind of light and it is similar to the moonlight in the human world which will free the Mamodos and that Penny will lead them to defeat Zatch. Kiyo then decides to be "it" probably mainly cause they are not playing the game smoothly. Kiyo caught wife first easily, probably due to her testing remotes with her husband. Kiyo caught 2 of his friends (Iwajima and Kane) because they were running towards Kiyo from both sides which Kiyo tells them that there is no point in getting caught in the middle because of his just right there. Suzy and Ponygon were winning but was caught due to Mizuno mixing up "Kick the can" game with "Darumasan ga Koronda" (a.k.a. Statues Game). Kiyo used this and Mizuno and Ponygon "froze" on the spot and Kiyo caught them as well. In the dub Kiyo mentions that the can still has fruit in it and Suzy freezes to not kick the fruit. Kiyo caught everyone except for Zatch and when he appeared it was a race to reach the can, but he is run over by Naomi and her toy car but at the same time Naomi knocks over the can as well. Later, they all have a picnic together under a tree. After Kiyo's friends leave, Kiyo and Zatch build sand castles together. Penny appears from the sky and destroys Zatch's castle before introducing her three mamodo minions. While Kiyo tries to explain his thoughts about engaging further with Megumi, Folgore comes back with melons in his chest but this isn't revealed after he tried to act as if they were breast and did the "boing boing" action which just got him scolded by Kiyo and Tia. Kiyo then puts up a question on how to eat them, surprisingly Megumi brought utensils and kitchenware like chop board and knife. They are later interrupted by the appearance of a Mamodo. He was first ignored due to the team being absorbed in eating and having fun until it caused him to be very angry and he got on battle ready mode until Megumi sees him and inform the team. He stops his attack and states that as long as they don't ignore him he won't attack and introduced himself as Magnificient Victoreem-sama. Folgore suddenly got an idea and tries to praise him and offers him a melon in order to avoid a fight while everyone is exhausted from the previous battle. The idea might come from the idea of him liking the attention. Victoream munches the melon in high speed and starts singing the "Very Melon" song, Zatch and Tia sings encores and dances with him. This plan works until Kiyo makes a mistake by instinctly replying him and angers Victoream, which Folgore scolds him for spoiling the plan and Kiyo apologises and says he can't help it. Folgore and Kanchome attempts to praise him again and offers him another melon after an attack from Victoream. While Victoream is dancing to his "Very Melon" song again everyone dance along except for Kiyo. When he is distracted, Zatch, Tia, Kanchome, and Ponygon attack him and manage to tie him up. Victoream escapes from his bondage and separates his head from his body. He starts to attack the team by firing his lasers at them. Victoream accidentally hits his body and ceases attacking.
