Ginga Tetsudou 999: Diamond Ring no Kanata e

On July 22, 2009, Galaxy Express 999 stopped at Kagoshima during a total solar eclipse. Tetsuro handed a pass for the 999 to a young boy named Kakeru, who aspired to be an astronaut, telling him it was his choice to use it or not. By 2035, another total solar eclipse is set to occur in Japan, marking 26 years since the last one. The story explores what happened to Kakeru in the years that followed.
