Yukito accompanies Minagi home after she invites him to stargaze on the school rooftop, where he discovers her mother suffers from mental illness. Later, Misuzu tries to play cards with Yukito but is overcome by extreme pain. Upon learning of Misuzu's condition, Yukito decides to move out of the house.
