Liver fights Bulat using Black Marlin to weaken his Incursio armor, eventually forcing a sword duel. Liver reveals he joined Esdeath out of admiration before dying from poisoned wounds. Bulat passes his Incursio to Tatsumi, who defeats Nyau despite the enemy's doubts about compatibility. Tatsumi mourns Bulat after he succumbs to his injuries. Meanwhile, Kurome learns she has been selected for a new group, hoping it offers a chance to reunite with her sister.
