Leone and Tatsumi infiltrate a temple in the Red Light District to assassinate drug smugglers holding captive women. After killing the gang and their clients, Sheele and Mine encounter Seryu and her Imperial Arm, Coro. Seryu activates Coro’s Berserker form to crush Mine, but Sheele intervenes. Distracted by Mine, Sheele is shot by Seryu and bitten in half by Coro. As Imperial Guards arrive, Sheele uses her Imperial Arm’s special attack to allow Mine to escape. She is devoured by Coro, recalling her time with Night Raid and feeling happy to be useful. Mine vows to avenge Sheele, while General Esdeath returns to the Capital at the prime minister's request.
