Junichi invites Ai and Ikuo to an amusement park, but Ikuo stays home due to illness. Inside a haunted maze, Junichi hallucinates until biting Ai's finger breaks the spell. They proceed to their first meeting spot, riding a swing where Ai stops it and kisses a stunned Junichi. The following day, Junichi finds Ai upset at the school pool after Hibiki informs her she was not selected for the swimming meet. As Ai attempts to flee, Junichi chases her, dives into the water, and embraces her, causing her to cry. While comforting her on the way home, Junichi agrees to help the Swim Club with their oden food cart during the Founder's Festival.
