Junichi, Kaoru, and Masayoshi visit the library to meet the new committee member, causing a disturbance until Ai reprimands them. Learning Ai is taking makeup exams, Junichi offers to tutor her in mathematics. During a break, Ai asks for advice regarding her younger brother, Ikuo, noting Junichi’s childish behavior mirrors his. At lunch, Junichi unintentionally offends Ai by discussing Sae’s breasts with Miya. He later apologizes by humiliating himself before Ai and the swimming team, entering the school pool without permission. At the beach, Junichi suggests Ai spoil Ikuo to gain his attention. As thanks, Ai gives Junichi an Inago Mask utility belt intended for her brother. Junichi teaches her to use it and gives the item to young boys. That night, Ai realizes she likes Junichi.
