Ep. 14: City Hunter Returns as Xiang Ying and Ryo Handle a Yakuza Threat

Xiang Ying struggles to adjust to civilian life while Ryo takes his first City Hunter job since retiring. His client is Nagisa, a high school dropout who committed a drug-facilitated robbery against a yakuza member. Ryo tasks Xiang Ying with protecting Nagisa at their apartment, causing friction because Xiang Ying focuses solely on the mission while Nagisa seeks enjoyment. When the yakuza locate them and abduct Nagisa, Xiang Ying initially refuses to intervene, claiming protection is not part of the assignment. However, he eventually attacks the criminals, sending them to the hospital. Grateful, Nagisa decides to return to school and asks Xiang Ying to be her friend, leaving the former assassin unsure how to respond.
