Ep. 38: Miki Accepts Her Mother's Spirit and Chooses to Live with Umibozu

Kaori tells Miki that although her mother's physical body is gone, her spirit remains alive within Miki's heart. The following morning, Xiang Ying brings a feverish Miki back to the clinic. During this time, Miki experiences a vision of her mother, who reassures her that she will always be by her side. Consequently, Miki resolves to spend her days acting as the eyes for Umibozu, while returning to her underground arcade at night. However, after witnessing Umibozu show kindness to a woman attempting to cheat him with his change, Miki ultimately decides to move in and live with him permanently.
