Bai Lan decides to remain with Hayakawa to protect him, expressing regret over her past role as a god of death. Although Xin Hong offers assistance, she refuses his help. On the day preceding the Suzaku unit's planned revenge attack by Zeng Dao Hui, Hayakawa brings Bai Lan to his Hakone villa. Shortly after their arrival, all guards are killed, prompting Bai Lan to pursue the assassin. She is captured but subsequently rescued by Xin Hong, allowing them to neutralize the threat. A bomb then detonates within the villa. Upon rushing inside, Bai Lan encounters Hayakawa, who accuses her of acting as a spy.
