Saeko Nogami prepares to arrest movie producer Zhang Yi for dangerous stunts when both are shot at by assassins. Joy Law seeks safety at the Cat's Eye café and stays near Miki. Ryo shows Joy Miki's abandoned underground arcade living quarters, which are empty, but Joy believes Miki's mother cared for her. Miki arrives and treats Joy as a substitute for her lost mother. Having located Miki for her ex-lover, Joy feels she has no reason to continue living.
