Sanemichi Bando discloses that Ryo is the City Hunter, but Tomomi remains skeptical. Yang Fang Yu, leader of the Black Panther group, abducts Tomomi. Fang Yu reveals Ryo saved her life during their mercenary days ten years ago, leading to her love and a broken promise to email every Christmas due to Tomomi. She challenges Tomomi to a drinking contest, but Tomomi passes out before Xiang Ying arrives to rescue her. Fang Yu challenges Xiang Ying but stops upon seeing Kaori, confessing she still cares for Ryo. Tomomi thanks Ryo for changing her life. Later, Ryo returns home to find Xiang Ying, Fang Yu, and Bando partying in his apartment.
