Shura, a high-level Exorcist and former apprentice of Shiro, infiltrated Rin’s class as Yamada to investigate his connection with Satan. Shiro had previously tasked her with protecting Rin if anything happened to him. After stealing Kurikara, Shura attacks Rin, conflicted between orders to kill him if his demonic link is confirmed and Shiro’s request to care for him. Confronting Rin, she discovers Shiro raised him as a son rather than a weapon. Rin recalls childhood trauma where Shiro absorbed his pain after he struck another boy, proving his fatherly devotion. Convinced by this bond, Shura retains Kurikara and decides to teach at the academy to secretly train Rin, aligning her duty with Shiro’s legacy.
