Ep. 17: Amaimon defeated, Rin faces exam deadline and Shura's flame training challenge

Amaimon breaches defenses to reach the courtroom, where Mephisto secures Grigori approval for his plan. Classmates return with the reforged Kurikara, allowing Rin to defeat Amaimon before collapsing. The Grigori mandates that Rin pass the Exorcist authorization exam within six months and places him under daily surveillance. Although his peers helped repair his sword, they harbor mixed feelings regarding his connection to Satan. In the training room, Shura assigns Rin to control his flames by lighting only the outer two of three aligned candles, a task that proves difficult. While Yukio and Shura compete in a difficult batting cage match, Rin accidentally burns their clothes off. Meanwhile, Konekomaru is haunted by a dark presence drawn to his fear. In the hallway, Izumo advises Rin to maintain confidence in his flame control as the same dark presence approaches them.
