The Exwires organize a surprise birthday party for Izumo, striving to keep the event secret. Yukio visits Shiemi’s shop to collect medicinal herbs and praises her idea for the celebration. Rin, tasked with baking a cake, accidentally bakes a Christmas cake and gives it to Mephisto as a token of appreciation. While Renzo and Paku browse the shopping district, Izumo spies on them and mistakenly assumes they are dating. When Renzo reveals they are searching for a gift, a disappointed Izumo suggests the celebration should also honor those whose birthdays have already passed. The event ultimately becomes a gathering to celebrate their friendship. Yukio later reflects with Shiemi on how Shiro told them their birthday was December 27, which was actually the day he found them orphaned in the snow. After the party, Yukio informs Rin that their monastery has called for help.
