Ep. 21: Yukio learns his mother's fate while Rin protects Michelle from the True Cross Order.

Shiemi discovers an unconscious woman in her garden. Meanwhile, Yukio meets Ernst Frederik Egin, who claims to be his grandfather and reveals that his mother, Yuri Egin, was executed by the Vatican as a witch. Ernst invites Yukio to join him at the Dragoon Laboratory after Shiro's death and Mephisto's arrest. During an interrogation, Rin, Shura, and Tsubaki learn that Neuhaus's wife, Michelle Neuhaus, is an anti-soul possessed by a demon. Although Neuhaus worked at a secret Polish laboratory, the Vatican destroyed it and accused him of forbidden resurrection. Michelle fled to the academy, becoming the masked man. Rin identifies the garden woman as Michelle but is stopped by Shiemi. Arthur arrives with the True Cross Order to kill the demon. Shura and Neuhaus fail to stop Arthur. Rin risks his life to protect Michelle and Shiemi. Michelle regains consciousness and dies shielding Rin from the Knights of the True Cross Order. Ernst takes control of the True Cross Order, appointing Yukio as the new Paladin, much to Arthur's disgrace.
