Ep. 8: Hajime confronts classmates and reveals the dark truth about the demon war and Ehit.
The Adventurers Guild tasks Hajime with locating missing individuals, including a noble’s son, leading him to a farming village. He encounters former classmates, specifically Aiko and Shimizu, who have arrived separately. When Shea calls out to him, Aiko tearfully demands to know his whereabouts, but Hajime remains cold and indifferent. An arrogant Templar Knight insults Shea, prompting Hajime to severely injure the knight, shocking his peers with his ruthless demeanor. Aiko vows to restore his humanity. Later, Hajime privately explains that the God Ehit manipulated the war for amusement, leading humans to become the Liberators, later branded as Mavericks by the Church. These Liberators created labyrinths to safeguard Ancient Magics for a worthy successor. Hajime also reveals that a classmate attempted to kill him. The following day, Aiko and the students insist on joining the mountain search to learn more about the Liberators.
