Dr. Ochanomizu announces the awakening of the world's strongest robot within a Ministry of Science room. The collective energy of Metro City is harnessed to bring Atom to life amidst a blinding light. However, Atom possesses the mind of a newborn, leading to an innocent rampage that irritates those nearby. Simultaneously, a crisis emerges as the Geoworm, responsible for supplying the city with energy, begins to run amok. This incident threatens the power source essential for Metro City, coinciding with Atom's difficult adjustment to his new existence and the confusion caused by his childlike behavior.
