Mining robots on the planet Deimos suddenly begin acting against human orders, causing turmoil as they dig holes without permission. Upon hearing the news, Dr. Ochanomizu heads for Deimos. Although Atom is ordered to stay behind, he sneaks into the spaceship and accompanies him. As Atom desperately searches for the reason behind the robots' rebellion, he uncovers a surprising truth regarding their actions.
