Ep. 10: Koyomi confronts a second Snake Constrictor curse placed by the rejected boy at the corrupted shrine.

Oshino reveals that Nadeko is suffering from a Snake Constrictor curse, a spirit that drains life. Nadeko explains the affliction stems from a classmate’s retaliation after she accidentally rejected a boy the classmate loved. Although amateur curses are usually harmless, Nadeko worsened the situation by performing the ritual at a shrine corrupted by Shinobu. Koyomi retrieves a charm to banish the spirit, but upon returning to the shrine, he discovers a second Snake Constrictor targeting Nadeko, placed by the initially rejected boy. While the first spirit is expelled, Koyomi must physically battle the second to save Nadeko. He and Suruga manage to drive it away, though Koyomi feels guilt over failing to destroy it, knowing the curse will return to its originator.
