Ep. 8: Suruga Monkey, Part Three

Suruga inherited a mummified hand from her mother, using it in 4th grade to win a race, which resulted in four competitors being hospitalized by a monster. She avoided wishing for years, fearing the arm’s negative nature, until jealousy over Koyomi and Hitagi’s relationship prompted a wish to be with Hitagi, causing the hand to grow into an arm. Oshino suggests amputation to resolve the devil’s contract, but Koyomi refuses, choosing to fight the entity instead. He enhances his vampiric abilities with Shinobu’s blood but is severely injured before Oshino intervenes. Hitagi arrives, revealing Koyomi’s deception, which forces the devil to dissolve the contract to maintain its balance. Although the entity vanishes, Suruga’s arm remains damaged, though she eventually forms friendships with both Koyomi and Hitagi.
